What is Filmora?

Wondershare Filmora is the friendly full video editor that has layered AI throughout a traditional timeline workflow. Alongside cutting, transitions and effects, it now offers AI captions, background removal, audio denoise and stretch, text-based editing, smart scene detection and an AI copilot that suggests edits — automation inside an editor you still control, rather than a one-prompt generator.

That balance suits YouTubers, teachers and small marketing teams who need reliable output every week without learning professional suites. It runs on Windows and Mac with a large built-in stock and template library. The free version watermarks exports, AI features consume credits on top of the licence, and heavy effects can strain older computers during long 4K projects.
