What is Microsoft Designer Image Creator?

Image Creator is Microsoft's free front door to DALL-E image generation, built into Microsoft Designer and Copilot. Sign in with a Microsoft account and describe what you want; it produces several options you can customize in Designer with text, templates and brand elements. For casual users on Windows and Edge, nothing else needs installing.

Generation runs on a boost system: boosts give fast results and refill over time, while slower generation stays available after they run out. A Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro subscription raises limits and unlocks fuller Designer features. Quality matches DALL-E's strengths — friendly illustration and clean compositions — though control-focused users will miss advanced settings and seeds.
